ERIN MIZELLE | photojournalist.
I am a freelance photographer and journalist currently located in the heart of North Carolina. I love creating and curating meaningful, storytelling work about the people and everyday moments in my community, and those near and far I have yet to meet.
I am a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where I attained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication with an emphasis in Advertising. It was here where I first discovered the beauty found in day-to-day moments and the similarities that bind us together as people, despite our differences. It would not be until some six years later that I would stumble upon the gift of storytelling through photojournalism at the nationally-ranked photography program at Randolph Community College in Asheboro, North Carolina.
I know now what my life was missing and I will spend the rest of my days telling the stories that matter the most–because, to me, it’s not about what you see but how you see it. Much love,
